In our fast paced modern world sometimes it feels nearly impossible to slow down, connect and remember to embody our bodies and breathe. The breath is such a powerful tool to regulate our entire nervous system. As the the Vagus nerve runs through the stomach breathing into it is essential for vagal tone and is such a key function in balancing our autonomic nervous system responses. It is quite literally as important as oxygen to our health to take time to unplug from our devices and connect to the present moment. Feeling is healing. Olivia is a somatic based yoga teacher with over 10 years of experience in various styles of yoga, mindfulness, and breath-work exercises.
